Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some frequently asked questions about Glysolid® that we get from our customers. If you have a question that is not listed here, feel free to email us or use the form below. We'll get back to you as quickly as possible.
I see different versions of Glysolid® online. What's the difference?
There are different formulas of Glysolid® being sold online, such as on Amazon and Ebay. Unfortunately, not all formulas are the same. Some formulas contain parabens, which are preservatives used in many cosmetics. It was recently discovered that parabens can be absorbed by the skin and stored in the body. Over time they could have a cumulative effect and pose a health risk. Some reports also link parabens to breast cancer and other health issues.
Glysolid® produced for the US market contains no parabens, preservative, perfumes, or coloring. When looking for Glysolid® online, you can recognize the US version of Glysolid® by the english-only labeling (no foreign languages on the labeling). Also, the back label states "Imported and Disbtributed by Affemann Imports Inc.".
Parabens are also easily identified because they contain the word "paraben," such as propylparaben, benzylparaben, methylparaben, or butylparaben. So, if possible, check the list of ingredients before making your purchase.
Is Glysolid® Skin Cream vegan?
Yes, Glysolid® is vegan. No animal products are used to produce Glysolid®. Also, the glycerin used in Glysolid® is made from rapeseed oil (also known as canola oil).
What is the shelf life of Glysolid®?
Because Glysolid® contains no preservatives, it does not have an unlimited shelf life. Each jar and tube has an expiration date printed on it. Once you open your jar or tube by removing the freshness seal, the cream should be used within 12 months.
